Revolutionizing Pickleball: Inside Katy’s AI-Driven Pickle Point

Pickle Point, a new tech-savvy pickleball facility in Katy, is set to revolutionize the sport with its AI-driven approach. Located at 23437 Clay Road, this 19,200-square-foot venue features eight indoor and four outdoor courts, all equipped with advanced AI technology designed to enhance the gameplay experience. Though the official opening date is still pending, the facility is currently in its soft-opening phase, generating significant buzz among pickleball enthusiasts.

Each court at Pickle Point is outfitted with cameras that record games in real-time, allowing for AI-generated replays and highlights post-game. This feature enables players to review their moves, learn from their mistakes, and improve their skills. "The cameras record their games, and the AI part puts it all together, getting highlights and replays together," said co-founder Aeta Moin. The AI system also tracks data over time, providing insights into playing trends, such as time spent in the kitchen and the number of dropped shots, further aiding in player development.

Pickle Point aims to create a vibrant and inclusive community, welcoming players of all ages and skill levels. The facility will offer memberships, but non-members can also enjoy the courts on a per-game basis. To foster a welcoming environment, free pickleball classes will be available each week for newcomers to the sport. Additionally, food trucks will be onsite, and players can bring their own beverages. "It’s designed for people who want to check out the sport, and it gives them the opportunity to come and see what they’re getting into," Moin added. Memberships are now on sale at the Pickle Point website.
