PBX Pickleball Collaborates with Parity: A New Era of Sports Integration

The world of pickleball is buzzing with excitement as PBX Pickleball partners with Parity, aiming to bring retired pro athletes from various sports into the pickleball arena. This collaboration promises fans a unique experience, reminiscent of charity golf events where fans mingle with retired sports stars.

PBX Pickleball, an initiative by Sports Facilities Companies (SFC), has been making waves by partnering with alumni associations of major American sports leagues. Their goal? To bring retired professionals, both male and female, into the world of pickleball. The venture has already garnered attention with the enlistment of retired athletes from Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association (MPBPAA) and the NHL Alumni Association.

Jason Clement, the CEO of SFC and co-founder of PBX, shared his enthusiasm about the venture. He emphasized the growing popularity of pickleball among retired athletes and the potential to create a platform that combines sportsmanship, competition, and fun.

PBX Pickleball is set to offer four distinct events:

  1. Corporate Outings: One-day events where employees can play alongside retired sports stars.

  2. Fantasy Camps/Dream Weekends: Fans play alongside retired pros, guided by active pickleball professionals.

  3. Pro-Am Events: Tournaments designed to complement conventional pro or amateur events.

  4. The PBX Tour: A competitive tour for the most dedicated retired pros.

The upcoming USA Pickleball National Championships in Dallas might witness the first PBX Pro-Am event, adding another layer of excitement to the already anticipated championship.

However, PBX's vision isn't limited to male athletes. Recognizing the significant female participation in pickleball, PBX has teamed up with Parity, an organization dedicated to bridging the gender gap in professional sports. This partnership aims to bring retired female athletes and Olympians into the PBX fold, ensuring a diverse and inclusive platform.

Leela Srinivasan, Parity’s CEO, expressed her excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the enthusiasm of female athletes towards pickleball and the PBX community.

For pickleball enthusiasts and sports fans alike, the PBX events promise a thrilling experience, blending the world of pickleball with the charm of other sports. Who knows, you might just get a chance to outplay a former baseball star on the pickleball court!
